About us

Spiny Software is a family business run by Hilary and Mike Wilson, creating entertaining and educational software for homes and schools, to support the science curriculum and encourage a respect for living things. The programs are developed by Hilary while Mike is responsible for representing Spiny Software at shows such as BETT, SETT and the Association for Science Education meetings. Both Mike and Hilary have doctorates in Zoology and Mike also works as an entomologist, so if you have a wildlife question, ask us and we will try to answer it.

Going green!
All our cd-roms are manufactured in the UK to cut down on transport. Our latest title, Me and My Pet, is packaged in card sleeves made of 100% recycled material, the sleeves are printed with vegetable dyes and are 100% recyclable and 100% biodegradable. Our other products will be repackaged in a similar way when our existing stock runs out.
